One of many flappers to get loosed:

From Singapore with Love......

9 1/2 Rounds - used 2 x 30kg DBs for the farmer carry's and the cleans.

Its been an extreme busy and challenging period of my life and I welcomed this evening the chance to reconnect with the type of training I love to do. In part its also a connection to the 3 of you back home. At 30 degrees and 1000% humidity at 7:00PM, this was tough - made it through the first three rounds without incident but slowed down considerably for the remaining rounds. Cashed in with 10 pull-ups, cashed out with 2. First of many SB sympathetic training for me up here in Singapore.

great turnout for this painstorm, we split into 3 groups of 4 or 5 people at a time to tackle the pain!

we last saw jamie at the CFT where he put in an amazing showing. this time he brought more reinforcements to take on the pain!

the girls kicked some ass and it was interesting seeing jamie unable to grip the bar although he didn't seem to be suffering muscular fatigue. killer effort!

round 2 was myself, peter, bill, rod and craig. I was very surprised with the pullups, everyone put up huge numbers, including me! I recently set myself a goal to get to 20 consecutive pullups but managed to get 25+ today!! chuffed!

craig and I did the power cleans @ 60kg while the other's scaled it down. this was definitely the limitation for me, it wasn't that long ago that I could barely clean 60. k2e was difficult, i think i was swinging too much (bad hip flexiblity) but not overly taxing and the farmer's walk wasn't too difficult either.

happily my grip held up fine.

ended up doing 4 rounds + 1fw + 5pc - happy with that.

cashed out with 11 pullups.

i think it was the pullups cashing out that tore holes in everyones hands, there was blood, chalk and skin everywhere!!

a good painstorm, looking forward to the next one!
